The Munster Swim Club is currently
seeking a high-energy, motivated, and knowledgeable candidate for an Assistant
coaching position beginning Fall 2008. Duties will
range from supervising dryland activities, running group practices, workout
formulation, and on-deck coaching at meets. The candidate should be able to
attend all practices each week held Mon-Fri (and some Sat. a.m. practices) and
competitions assigned by the Head Coach.
Attendance at all practices will be necessary unless pre-arranged with the
Head Coach.
MSC
practices are held at both the Munster High School Pool and the Wilbur Wright
Middle School Pool from 5:30pm-8:30pm, Mon-Thurs and some Fridays in which
there is no competition.
The
assistant Coach position will work cooperatively with the other Assistant
Coaches in practices and meets, and will report directly to the Head Coach.
It is
required that all candidates possess a strong swimming background in coaching, as
a competitive swimmer, or both. Knowledge of the USA Swimming rules is also
preferred but not required.
Salary will be commensurate with
experience and qualification level.
Requirements:
*CPR, First Aid, and Safety Training for Swim Coaches (or Life
Guard Training)
*USA/ IN Swimming coaching credentials
*ASCA certification
