Head Coach
The Merrillville Aquatic Club (MAC) is currently seeking an experienced,
passionate, and enthusiastic individual with strong leadership skills to fill
our Head Age Group Coach position for the upcoming fall/winter season.
MAC is located in Northwest Indiana and practices/competes using the two 6+
lane pools of
The position will work cooperatively with the club board of directors, the school system, and the senior/high school coach. We have a need for an individual who has the ability to coach in the evenings and attend meets on the weekends. A strong knowledge of stroke mechanics in all of the strokes and an understanding of the progressive training required to achieve divisional/state cuts is preferred. Also, a philosophy on how to recruit and retain both boys and girls of all ages in a large/diverse 5A school system is a must.

Compensation will be based on experience and swimming background. Teaching employment opportunities could be a possibility, and these individuals are highly encouraged to apply.
